GOD Poster
Assignment: Design a 20" x 30" poster that defines who or what God is. The concept must be based on my own personal beliefs and channel a personal point of view.
Process: I started by writing a one page definition of what the word God means to me and the feelings it invokes in me. From this definition I was to concept ten different posters that expressed my feelings. From the thumbnails I sketched up I felt I had six strong concepts that I wanted to develop further then just a rough comp. To do this I decided to put all six concepts on to one 11ft piece of paper. The challenge was to allow the meaning of each individual concept to come across and at the same time create one cohesive composition that worked as a whole from the same six concepts. From this process I moved forward with two of the concepts to produced final pieces. 7 Deadly Sins, which was pulled directly from the 11ft compostion and A How To Story… A How To Story went through evolution that started with an illustration and ended with concept being executed onto an actual Bible.
